Clinical Counseling Intern

What to expect when attending sessions with a clinical intern?
Our interns meet with experienced clinical supervisors weekly for at least 1 hour in addition to attending specialized consultation and weekly team supervision groups with trained clinical colleagues. They receive ongoing individual and group training to learn and fine tune counseling skills throughout their internship. Interns also participate in regular counseling sessions to learn by observing and participating in existing counseling sessions led by licensed psychotherapists. Additionally, interns are participating in ongoing educational opportunities through their graduate school programs where they also receive supervision with trained professionals. Interns are completing their final year of graduate school before they enter into the counseling field.

Meeting with an intern at Synergos is a cost effective opportunity as well if you do not have insurance benefits or do not want to use those benefits. Click here to complete a client inquiry form and indicate in the form you would like to work with an intern.
